Cents-Ability is a nationwide program that helps people who don’t have enough to eat. It was established by Presbyterian Women, the women’s organization of the Presbyterian Church (USA), to support food pantries and other projects that feed people of both sexes and all faiths in throughout United States and world. Cents-Ability raises money by encouraging people to contribute a few cents per meal to hunger relief. People may donate to Cents-Ability through any presbytery or Presbyterian Church. Rev. Phyllis Zoon oversees the program for the Presbytery of Newark in northern New Jersey.

A generation of students is grateful to Donald M. Murray, a Pulitzer Prize–winning writer and retired professor of journalism at the University of New Hampshire. A gifted teacher and writing coach, Murray is the author of many influential articles and books about writing, including A Writer Teaches Writing (Heinle, 2003). He has been an inspiration to me—and countless other writers—for years.
